Mann+Hummel has opened an office in Tehran—the first time it has its own representation in Iran. After the economic sanctions against Iran were relaxed last year, the filtration specialist recognized the potential of the market.
Mann+Hummel will primarily use the newly established office in the capital city of Iran to support customers in the automotive aftermarket and industrial sector. The employees at the office will assist local distributors at trade fairs and provide product training. They will analyze the market and make contact with potential new customers.
In addition to the locations in the UAE and Turkey, Iran is the third office Mann+Hummel has established in the Near East. The new representative office strengthens the commitment of the company to further expand its global presence. Josef Parzhuber, president & general manager Automotive Aftermarket at the Mann+Hummel Group explains: "Iran is already the biggest automotive aftermarket in the Middle East and is attractive due to its numerous local vehicle and machine manufacturers. This measure will strengthen our position as a company with a global presence. We are close to our customers in geographical terms and are able to offer filtration solutions which are tailored to the local market."
The new office increases the focus of Mann+Hummel on Iran. Parzhuber expressly welcomes further commitments in the region: "The Iranian market has enormous potential and also offers Mann+Hummel opportunities for growth with automotive OEMs and with air and water filtration."
