The listing of Essity is a result of the Annual General Meeting’s decision on April 5, 2017, to split the SCA Group into two listed companies: forest products company SCA, and hygiene and health company Essity.
“I am very pleased that Essity’s listing date has arrived. We believe this will increase value for our shareholders in the long-term through increased focus, customer value, development opportunities, and enables us to successfully realize our strategies. We are now looking forward to an exciting future for the hygiene and health company Essity,” says Magnus Groth, president and CEO of Essity.
The name Essity stems from the words ‘essentials’ and ‘necessities’, a fitting name for the new hygiene and health company that offers products for everyday necessities. Essity develops, produces and sells products and solutions in personal care, consumer tissue and professional hygiene and the vision is; dedicated to improving well-being through leading hygiene and health solutions.
“The global population is both growing and getting older, and hygiene and health are necessities for better lives. Our products and solutions play an essential role in improving well-being for people around the world,” says Groth.
