Kamil Kliniewski had entrepreneurial dreams since he was a young boy, and although he worked in many industries throughout his career, his biggest dream was to run a production plant. “When the opportunity to realize this dream appeared, I did not hesitate,” says Kliniewski, the CEO of baby diaper and feminine hygiene product manufacturer Hygienika Dystrybucja S.A.
“The production process in its complexity is absolutely fascinating to me, I think it can be compared to putting a puzzle together,” he says. “Every employee, every department of my company is an indispensable element of a larger puzzle, without which the final image would be incomplete. Therefore, when I look at working production lines, I have before my eyes all the stages preceding this stage, without which production would not be possible. Running a production plant is for me the essence of business, something that was worth waiting for throughout my current professional life.”
Based in Lubliniec, Poland, Hygienika has been producing and selling diapers, sanitary towels and panty liners for 25 years and is currently implementing the production of wet wipes at its plant in Lubliniec.
Hygienika manufacturers products both under its own brands and under other private label brands for its customers.
For its own branded line, the company recently launched a new premium diaper to the market called Bambino lovely baby. According to Kliniewski, the super absorbent diapers are thinner and more permeable, allowing the skin to breathe freely and improve comfort of use, while delicate frills protect the child’s skin.
“It took us around eight months to produce the diaper in today’s form,” he says. “We tried different solutions, applications, using best quality raw materials, etc., because we wanted to create a product that can successfully compete with the leader in the Polish market. Today we have tests from international laboratories, professional opinions of experts, as well as our clients, which show that we have managed to create a product that is better than other high quality popular brands.”
Hygienika also produces diapers under the brands Poopeys, Baby Shine and Bambi Plus.
On the feminine care side, Hygienika makes modern, permeable, and super thin female hygiene products with an anatomical shape and wings. They are covered with a very delicate external “Soft Touch” fabric, which ensures comfort and a fresh feel. In addition, its premium version is covered with a delicate “Dry” mesh, which spreads the wetness evenly away and protects against irritation. A variety of premium and classic sanitary pads and pantyliners is offered under the Linell brand.
A main goal of the company, Kliniewski says, is the production of completely innovative diapers, sanitary pads and pantyliners. Its products intend to be innovative when it comes to absorption, antibacterial nature, ergonomy and composability. In order to achieve this, the company has been conducting the appropriate scientific research. At the same time, Hygienika has applied for a subsidy from the EU to obtain funds to start serial production of these types of innovative products.
Hygienika is also applying for a subsidy from the EU for the purchase of innovative lines for the production of wet wipes, as well as for the creation of a modern laboratory, allowing it to constantly improve the quality of its products and implement innovative solutions.
“I am planning to invest $20 million in the new technologies that will improve Hygienika’s products even more,” Kliniewski says. “The awareness that this market offers so many possibilities is an injection of motivation for me. We not only follow the current trends on this market, our ambition is to create and design them ourselves. The market gives us unlimited opportunities to develop and my motto is ‘sky is the limit.’”
