Gaziantep, Turkey-based Taha Kimya Kozmetik opened in 2008, initially making just wet wipes and later adding household cleaners and personal care products to its business. In the second half of last year, the company added PET and PE production to its liquid filling facilities to become a dedicated supplier of full service private label wet wipes, household cleaners and personal care products.
Using viscose/polyester nonwoven fabrics at various weights and thicknesses, Taha mainly produces wipes for the baby care, personal care and makeup remover categories.
In addition to marketing wipes under its own brands BiiWipes and Bivy, Taha develops and manufactures specialty wet wipe products for the private label market. “As a trusted wet wipe manufacturer, we can offer brands a wide range of packaging formats to suit their requirements,” says Taha’s business development manager Vural Erkan.
As the wipes market has grown, so has the company. Taha recently added two new high-speed machines to its facility. All of its nonwoven products are converted on-site using high-speed machines with the capability to split, fold and rewind, according to Erkan. “Our in-house R&D team has created a range of exciting products, and our customer service team has extensive experience dealing with all types of brands making the process easy and straightforward,” he adds.
According to Erkan, fabric is a key factor in offering brands the ability to differentiate and create high performance, cost-effective wet-wipe products without sacrificing quality. Taha sources nonwovens from all over the world and can offer its customers technical graded fabrics at various weights and thicknesses. Further, he says its investments in machinery technology, coupled with technical expertise, has helped the company to provide innovative product solutions at cost effective price points for its partners.
As part of the company’s plans to expand its offerings and respond to growth in the wipes market, Taha is planning to add household and flushable wet wipes to its range of products later this year.
“We have been in the wipes market for several years, and the competition in the global wet tissue and wipe market is extremely high nowadays,” Erkan says. “Demand for specialty wipes increases each day.”
