Highlights of an impressive year for one of Europe's largest makers of hygiene products
A New Look at Brazil
In May, Ontex consolidated its Brazilian operations, transferring its manufacturing operation in Aparecida de Goiania to its facility in Senador Canedo. This move is expected to significantly improve the efficiency of Ontex’s Brazilian operations. Ontex also relaunched its two diaper brands in the country.
Investment Complete
In October 2018, the first pallet of diapers rolled off the production line at Ontex’s newest facility in Rodamsko, Poland. The 26,000 square meter facility represents a €16 million investment. The company plans to expand its output from one to four production lines in the next few years.
Coming to America
Ontex’s acquisition of Grupo Mabe, a Mexican diaper producer, in 2016, has helped it explore relationships with U.S. retailers. During the last quarter of 2018, Ontex began shipping products to a major U.S. retailer, marking a major milestone for the company.

Little Big Change
Earlier in the year, Ontex launched its Little Big Change line of diapers, which are made without toxic or irritating substances that are hypoallergenic. These diapers are available through an online subscription model.
Nice and True
Another important launch was NAT (Nice and Time Intimate Brands), which is a line of feminine hygiene products, in the Chinese e-commerce market. The mateirals are made from natural cotton responding to increased interest in organic products in the fem hy segment.
