As of January 1, 2019, the TWE Group will increase the price of all products.
The decision has been taken due to the fact that prices for raw materials and operational costs for the manufacturing of nonwovens have risen constantly by more than 15%. The price increases for raw materials such as synthetic staple fibers, viscose, foils and chemicals in particular have been substantial, and costs for labor, energy and transport have also increased well beyond a nominal amount. This trend is expected to continue into the foreseeable future.
“Please rest assured that we are taking all steps possible internally in order to reduce the impact of this ongoing situation, but are unable to fully compensate for it,” says Ralf Berens, chief commercial officer. "The inevitable result is that prices have to be increased by up to 6% from the beginning of 2019 in order to remain competitive, and to continue to deliver the expected product quality.”
