Along with a new brand rollout, Freudenberg Performance Materials (FPM) will be exhibiting several new products at the 2016 IDEA show in Boston. FPM is a leading global manufacturer of innovative technical textiles serving a range of markets including automotive, apparel, building materials, hygiene, medical, shoe components and technical specialties.
Among FPM’s offerings will be products supporting the medical market like transdermal backings and polyurethane foam. Transdermal backing is part of a patch that allows for drug delivery through the skin. The conformable polyurethane foam provides a moist environment for wound healing and absorption up to 20 times its own weight.
Acoustics materials made of Evolon and lightweight, sound absorbing composites are some of the products that will be on display for the automotives market.
For building markets, FPM has materials such as SoundTex – a thin, lightweight solution for ceiling acoustics, and a full range of primary and secondary backings for carpet tiles.
This year Freudenberg Performance Materials is proud to announce that Evolon 3D, a multi-purpose microfilament nonwoven, is a finalist for the IDEA16 Achievement Award in the Roll Goods category. Evolon 3D preserves the high performance of Evolon with increased volume and bulkiness to make it feel even more like fabric. Evolon 3D can be washed time after time without structure loss. Evolon is a versatile, microfilament nonwoven with applications including, but not limited to, packaging, durable wipes and print media.
