Sareks has invested in additional capacity for backsheet production with a new blown line added last year, which will achieve 625 million sqm/year. Sareks, a Turkish manufacturer of baby diaper, adult incontinence and femcare components, produces both breathable and non-breathable backsheets using both blown and cast extrusion.
Special properties from the new line include excellent dimensional stability, soft touch feeling, good planarity and printing is protected between layers with a sandwich printing technique.
Product characteristics include:
• Laminated basis weight: 25-31 gsm range
• Film weight: 14-20 gsm range
• Good mechanical strength
• White or other colors possible
• Printing up to six colors
• Printed (continuous or with eye mark) or unprinted
• WVTR (MOCON) (38.0˚C 100%RH, WSP 70.4 (08)): In a range of 500-8000 g/m2 within 24 hours
