A method of manufacturing a nonwoven comprising: (a) forming at least a first nonwoven layer having a fiber content consisting of a plurality of non-round cross-sectional shaped spunbond fibers, wherein the plurality of non-round cross-sectional shaped spunbond fibers have a bilobal shape, a trilobal shape, a bowtie shape, a ribbon-shape or any combination thereof, and (b) disposing an active ingredient substantially at a surface of the plurality of non-round cross-sectional shaped spunbond fibers; and wherein the first nonwoven has a strike through time that is less than 10 seconds for all three insults when tested per WSP 70.7(05); and wherein the first nonwoven layer has a theoretical surface area of greater than about 4200 cm2 per gram of fiber content.
