An absorbent article comprising: a topsheet; a backsheet; an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a pair of barrier cuffs extending longitudinally along sides of the absorbent article, each of the pair of barrier cuffs comprising a nonwoven web comprising: a first plurality of filaments having a diameter between about 8 μm and about 50 μm according to the Filament Size Test, wherein the first plurality of filaments comprises a pigment; and a second plurality of filaments having a diameter between about 0.3 μm and about 5 μm according to the Filament Size Test; wherein the first plurality of filaments and/or the second plurality of filaments comprise crimped filaments; wherein the nonwoven web comprises a first side and an opposing second side, wherein the first side forms at least a portion of a wearer facing surface of the barrier cuff and the second side forms at least a portion of a garment facing surface of the barrier cuff, wherein the first plurality of filaments forms a portion of the first side and wherein the first plurality of filaments forms a portion of the second side; and wherein the nonwoven web has an L* value of between about 21 and about 25 as measured from the first side and an L* value of between about 25 and 50 as measured from the second side, according to the CIE L*a*b* Test, wherein the L* value as measured from the first side is different from the L* value as measured from the second side; wherein the nonwoven web has a First Filament Ratio of a number of filaments of the first plurality of filaments as measured from the first side to a number of filaments of the first plurality of filaments as measured from the second side is between about 1.5 to 1 and about 4 to 1, according to the Filament Ratio Test.

An absorbent article comprising: a topsheet; a backsheet; an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a pair of barrier cuffs extending longitudinally along sides of the absorbent article, each of the pair of barrier cuffs comprising a nonwoven web comprising: a first plurality of filaments having a diameter between about 8 μm and about 50 μm according to the Filament Size Test, wherein the first plurality of filaments comprises a pigment; and a second plurality of filaments having a diameter between about 0.3 μm and about 5 μm according to the Filament Size Test; wherein the first plurality of filaments and/or the second plurality of filaments comprise crimped filaments; wherein the nonwoven web comprises a first side and an opposing second side, wherein the first side forms at least a portion of a wearer facing surface of the barrier cuff and the second side forms at least a portion of a garment facing surface of the barrier cuff, wherein the first plurality of filaments forms a portion of the first side and wherein the first plurality of filaments forms a portion of the second side; and wherein the nonwoven web has an L* value of between about 21 and about 25 as measured from the first side and an L* value of between about 25 and 50 as measured from the second side, according to the CIE L*a*b* Test, wherein the L* value as measured from the first side is different from the L* value as measured from the second side; wherein the nonwoven web has a First Filament Ratio of a number of filaments of the first plurality of filaments as measured from the first side to a number of filaments of the first plurality of filaments as measured from the second side is between about 1.5 to 1 and about 4 to 1, according to the Filament Ratio Test.
