Oxco Inc. is relocating its manufacturing base from the Charlotte, NC to Northern York County in South Carolina. Executives said South Carolina incentives as well as easy access to Route 77 were key reasons behind the move.

Oxco will receive job development tax credits, which rebate a portion of employees’ state taxes to the company. The value of those credits wasn't immediately available. York County also gets $200,000 from the S.C. Coordinating Council to pay for improvements to the Lakemont-area property as Oxco moves to its new site.
Hiring for the new facility is expected to begin during the second quarter of 2018. Information about the number of employees at the current Charlotte plant wasn’t immediately available.
Oxco makes a variety of nonwovens inlcuding spunbond, needlepunch, spunlace and thermalbond.
