A sheet material shaping apparatus for forming predetermined three-dimensional shapes on a sheet material passing between at least a pair of shaping rolls disposed parallel to each other, the pair of shaping rolls respectively having, on circumferential surfaces thereof, recessed and protruding shapes that mesh with each other at a face-to-face position, wherein at least either one of rotating shafts of the pair of shaping rolls is cooperatively coupled with a rotational driving means through an eccentric coupling.
