The Worksite Wellness Council of Massachusetts (WWCMA) has named Web Industries, Inc., a leading provider of contract converting and manufacturing services, a WorkWell Massachusetts Award Program Gold Level winner for exemplary worksite health promotion. The award recognizes Web's achievements developing, implementing, and participating in corporate health improvement and wellness programs. The company is one of two Gold Level award recipients for 2015.
Web's "Web Employees Living Longer (W.E.L.L.)" wellness initiative combines company-wide competitive exercise programs, live and online nutritional and educational workshops, professional coaching, and healthcare cost-reduction incentives to achieve remarkable results.
“Six years after starting this journey, Web has a measurably healthier workforce. Compared to U.S. averages, our numbers are lower in six out of seven key health-risk categories, including a 12% drop in smoking levels,” says Arnie Wensky, senior director of human resources for Web Industries. “These amazing results are a testament to the perseverance and ingenuity of our facility-level wellness champions, committees, and councils, the expert guidance of our wellness partner, Advancing Wellness, and the hard work of all of Web's employee-owners in participating in these programs.”
“We are excited to award Web Industries for their outstanding worksite wellness program,” states Mari Ryan, chair of the Board of Directors, WWCMA. “We believe that healthy, productive employees are a critical component of an organization's culture and success.”
