A method of forming a roll of thermoplastic elastomeric film resistant to blocking, said method comprising the steps of: a) providing a thermoplastic elastomeric film having a first surface and a second surface in a continuous manner by on-line formation by extrusion, b) substantially concurrent to said on-line formation, applying an anti-blocking agent in a fluid or molten state via a spray applicator directly to at least the first surface of the thermoplastic elastomeric film to form a discontinuous formation of said anti-blocking agent on said first surface comprising discrete droplets, and thereby form a treated surface, and c) gathering the film on a roll to form a bulk roll having rolled layers of the film with the treated surface in contact with the second surface; wherein the anti-blocking agent is substantially acrylic free.
