Beta LaserMike, a leading global provider of precision measurement and control solutions, recently added four key management positions to further the company’s focus in delivering world class customer service and product solutions to the markets and customers it serves.
Ken Bornhorst has been named director of global service and business development. Ian Warren was appointed Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) service manager. Charles Wrinkle is the district sales manager for the Southeast U.S. region and Mike Cooley assumes the South Central U.S. region.

These key additions to our management team will focus on customer service excellence, services business development, and technology solution sales. This will strategically provide for expanded services and capabilities on a number of fronts and open up real opportunities for both us and our customers."
Mr. Bornhorst has overall responsibility for structuring and developing a high performance global service organization to deliver pre-eminent services and technical solutions to customers. He will also drive the company’s service expansion strategy and growth objectives through next-level relationships, technical consultation and tailored, comprehensive customer-value implementation programs.
Mr. Bornhorst possesses more than two decades of experience in operations, global service, engineering, and business development. Previous management responsibilities have included director of operations for Gleason Metrology Systems, general manager at Thinkpath, Inc., manager of Engineering and Global Services at Ohio Electronic Engravers, Inc., and principal engineer for the Advanced Development Group at Monarch Marking Systems.
As EMEA Service Manager, Mr. Warren will oversee the overall customer service and support operation in this region as well as play a key role in optimizing best practices in service delivery. He will work closely with Mr. Bornhorst to execute strategic service and support programs in-line with the company’s mission. Mr. Warren also brings over 20 years of extensive experience in leading an EMEA-based customer service and support organization.
As district sales manager, Mr. Wrinkle will have overall responsibility for the growth and development of the Southeast U.S. sales territory as well as the management of Beta LaserMike’s agents and representatives in this region. He will play a key role in delivering Beta LaserMike’s complete portfolio of solutions to all industrial markets.
Mr. Wrinkle brings to his position more than 14 years of business development and sales management experience. Most recently, Mr. Wrinkle served as business development analyst for Corning Cable Systems.
Beta LaserMike also announced expanded sales responsibilities for Mr. Cooley, district sales manager for the Central U.S. His new responsibilities include the addition of the South Central region, which consists of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana. Mr. Cooley presently is responsible for managing the sales activities in the North Central region which includes Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri. In addition to account management, Mr. Cooley will be responsible for managing the network of agents and representatives in this new region.
