Reflecting on 2023, Fibertex Nonwovens reported sales of $315 million, marking a 5% increase from 2022 driven by robust sales in the European filtration, automotive, and construction industries and improved sales of wipes and hygiene products in the U.S. The needlepunch and spunlace manufacturer’s diversified presence across multiple sectors allowed it to achieve steady balance with particular growth in industrial businesses.
Fibertex Nonwovens continues to achieve success through its global investments in high-performance, sustainable nonwovens production. Last year the Danish nonwovens manufacturer completed the installation of a state-of-the-art spunlace production line at its Gray Court, SC, facility and is now successfully serving its customers with unique, advanced materials in wipes, hygiene, automotive and filtration sectors.
With plans to expand the capacity of Multi-Layer Technology spunlace in Czech Republic next year, these projects are integral to Fibertex’s global investment strategy and reinforce its vision to remain the world leader in advanced nonwovens and high-performance solutions.
“We have very high expectations for the expansion of our Multi-Layer Technology, which we believe can be a game changer in the nonwovens industry. The new technology advancements allow our customers to tailor specific solutions to their needs. This flexibility means that our customers can better differentiate themselves on product performance and sustainability,” says Fibertex Nonwovens CEO Jørgen Bech Madsen.
Additionally, Fibertex recently published its 2023 ESG Report, which highlights progress in CO2 reduction efforts through energy-saving initiatives and increased use of sustainable content in nonwovens across segments. The company also introduced its CO2 Reduction Guide, a formal collaborative tool designed to help key customers drive CO2 reduction efforts.
