Making it Official

Eight companies earned awards in six categories during the 13th Techtextil Innovation Award ceremony, where they were honored for outstanding achievements and new developments.

Jam-Packed

Techtextil and Texprocess 2015 brought in about 42,000 visitors from 116 countries.

Botanic Shoes

Lenzing’s Lyocell fiber Tencel is being used for the first time in various shoe components. As part of the first prototypes, nonwovens are used as part of the shoe lining as well as in the padding component of the shoe. Sandler’s inviting booth showed off a nonwoven model home with a garden.

Sintered Nonwovens

Norafin exhibited sintered nonwovens, which are filled with metal powder or metal fibers and can be used for filter media for the particle filtration from hot gases and liquids.
