Nonwovens producer Softbond will add a new multibeam 3.2 meter spunmelt line at its main production site in Pilar, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The new line will boost Softbond's production capacity by 9,000 tons per year, serving hygiene and medical nonwoven demand in Argentina and South America. The line is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2025.
Softbond's executive director Alessio Romanelli says: “We are proud to announce our new investment with this line, adding new capacity to fulfill the growing demand of our products from customers in Argentina and South America. The new production line will offer softer nonwovens for hygiene and medical applications using the latest available technology and automatization processes.”
Softbond continues to invest and grow in Argentina, being the first and pioneer nonwoven producer in the country since 1996 and running multiple lines for the hygiene and durable markets.
