Carolina Nonwovens has announced its new manufacturing line in Fostoria, OH will be operational by the third quarter of 2024. The plant will house a nonwovens production line as well as ancillary equipment and will have additional space for logistics, engineering, quality control, product design and office space. The investment, estimated at $4 million, will target several industries including automotives, construction, appliances and bedding.
"We are excited by the opportunity to expand our geographical footprint in order to continue serving our customers with enhanced production capacity," says general manager Ed Hull.
Foshania, located in northwest Ohio, was chosen over other locations due to the area's proximity to customers in the midwest. The plant is expected to employ 25-30 workers.
Parent company National Spinning acquired Carolina Nonwovens in 2012.
"We could not be more pleased with the progress Carolina Nonwovens has made since we acquired it in 2012," says president and CEO Jim Booterbaugh. "We appreciate the efforts of the entire team and the opportunities this opens for our associates, trading partners, local economies and shareholders."
