Saudi German Company for Nonwovens has announced it now complies with the International Sustainability Carbon Plus Certification (ISCC) system, allowing it to move forward with the manufacturing and marketing of sustainable nonwoven products at its Damman, Saudi Arabia Facility. The certification provides solutions for fully tracable and environmentally, socially and economically sustainable supply chains.
The certification, which allows the implementation of a mass balance accounting system that traces sustainable products across the complete supply chain, from feedstocks to final products, enables stakeholders to establish and quantify the sustainability of their products made from certified raw materials. Brand owns can use the certification to feature the sustainable material content of their products, offering consumers a more responsible choice.
With ISCC Plus Certification, SGN can confidently offer sustainable products that strengthen the economy and help its customers achieve their sustainable development goals.
"To date, Saudi Arabia has introduced more than 60 initiatives under the Saudi Green Initiative (SGI). SGN is aligning with these efforts by taking a step toward a greener future for all through putting action and investment toward sustainably developed products. Engagement across our customer and supplier base has been essential in bringing consumer-relevant products to the market," says Nigel Gautry, executive manager of marketing and sales for SGN.
