Adding to the growing natural hygiene market is Rif care's new hemp-based line of period care products.
Conceived by Val Emanuel, of Southern California, Rif care currently offers pads in three absorbencies—regular, super and overnight. The pads feature a hemp and organic cotton fiber blend topsheet, a responsibly sourced and chlorine-free tree pulp core—without the use of super absorbent polymers (SAP)—and a sugar-based plastic backsheet, making it fully biodegradable.
Meanwhile, Kimberly-Clark India in partnership with the Plastics for Change Foundation, celebrates the successful conclusion of ‘Project घर,’ an initiative launched in 2021 to address the mounting challenge of plastic waste by collecting and recycling 22.5 metric tons of single-use and multi-layered plastic to build sustainable housing units for the on-ground waste collectors in the Hubli-Dharwad coastal region of Karnataka.
