Ecowipes announced Monday its addition of a second carded pulp line to meet demand for flushable wipes in international markets.
The line will be located in Poland and be supplied by Trützschler Nonwovens and Voith. Voith’s BlueLine stock preparation equipment and cylinder mould FloatLip former processes paper-grade pulp, the cost-effective raw material for the paper industry. Ecowipes’ wipes benefit from a high-pulp content, which brings down production costs significantly.
In other news, H&V announced its implementation of a temporary 12% surcharge in the Americans and EMEA regions. The increase was imposed due to global market conditions, including constrained supply chains, inflationary pressure, increased transportation costs and historically high energy rates.
