Jofo Nonwovens and Soshio Industrial Co. have formed a strategic cooperation, the two companies have announced. Soshio, a Hong Kong-based contract manufacturer for wipes maker Rockline Industries, will join Jofo, a fast growing supplier of nonwovens in China with five manufacturing sites in Asia. Patnering with Soshio will allow Jofo to begin contract manufacturing finished products.
“This strategic step enables Jofo to promote its process of vertical integration of the industrial chain, expand the scope of business and most importantly enter into the OEM field on the basis of existing material production,” says CEO Rain Tian. “It also builds a solid foundation for Jofo to provide comprehensive service to global customers.”
In recent months, Jofo has expanded its footprint through the purchase of a spunbond operation in Wuxi, China from PF Nonwovens and is in talks to expand outside of China with the purchase of Saudi nonwovens producer, SAAF.
“This transaction will give us the chance to combine the world’s leading “JoForm” materials from Jofo and our own technology to optimize product design and manufacturing as well as jofo’s smart logistis, the company will improve its ability to serve the global market and achieve better development.” says Dennis So managing director of Soshio.
