Fitesa has acquired Fiber Dynamics, a High Point, NC-based manufacturer of meltblown and carded nonwovens for disinfectant wipes, filtration, face masks, automotive, medical, hygiene and other industrial wipes.
The acquisition will strengthen Fitesa’s asset base to serve the healthcare market, especially the wipes segment. In addition, it will increase the company’s technical expertise with the hiring of trained and experience employees.
“We are proud to continue our fast expansion in the U.S. FDI is not only a reputable supplier in the industry but also a great match to Fitesa’s culture of innovation and continuous improvement,” Richard Fasolo, managing senior vice president. “Both companies have the healthcare market as part of their strategic focus, and we are positive that, together, we will be able to add even more value to our customers, employees and stakeholders.”
This marks Fitesa’s third acquisition in 2020. In February, the company acquired Freudenberg Hygiene in Brazil. In August, Fitesa announced the agreement to purchase Tredegar Personal, which is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2020.
