Georgia-Pacific Nonwovens has announced that Mark LeMere, previously in the company’s engineering group, has been promoted to director – new product and business development for GP Nonwovens. In this role, LeMere will work closely with teams in research & development, innovation, engineering, manufacturing, sales, and finance to accelerate new products and innovations to the marketplace.
“Mark is very skilled in nonwovens production and converting, and that will be a significant advantage as he works with teams to develop both products and businesses for GP Nonwovens,” says Doug Dowdell, president – Georgia-Pacific Nonwovens. “He will coordinate and leverage our resources and knowledge across not only the GP Nonwovens business, but all of Georgia-Pacific as well as other Koch companies to maximize long-term value.”
LeMere joined the Georgia-Pacific engineering team in 2015, focused on nonwovens assets. He previously worked in nonwovens production, product development and research positions.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from St. Norbert College.
