BASF recently presented solutions that can help automotive manufacturers be successful. The presentations took place at the Society of Plastics Engineers Automotive Composites Conference & Exhibition (SPE ACCE), Sept. 15-16, in Troy, MI.

BASF experts delivered two presentations during the conference, Eco-friendly Copolymers Offering Clean Manufacturing, Reduced VOC Emissions, Excellent Performance, by Gero Nordmann and Design and Part Performance Testing for Thermoplastic Automotive Oil Pans - North American Market, by Ray Ballou.
Diethard Schneider, ContiTech Vibration Control, presented High Duty: Lightweight Polyamide Engine Mount. The presentation included an overview of how BASFs Ultramid A3WG10 CR thermoplastic material contributed to the successful weight reduction of the transmission cross-beam designed by ContiTech for the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo 550i.
