Barcelona-based industrial group Industria Murtra, the owner of nonwovens producer Tefia, has agreed to buy Swedish industrial nonwoven producer Fiberduk.
The deal included substantially all of the assets and employment of key personnel which have been transferred into the newly incorporated subsidiary IMS Nonwoven AB. The new company will continue the operate out of the Fiberduk AB production facility in Ystad, Sweden.
Both companies make nonwovens targeting highly competitive, technical sectors such as automotive, filtration, medicine-health care, linings, food products, decoration, catering, wooden plating reinforcements, and others.
The new owner plans to make significant investment in the Fiberduk business, according to reports.
