The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) announced promotions for team members in its Communications, Government Affairs and Sustainability departments, recognizing their ongoing contributions to its strategic initiatives and advancing ACI’s role as the voice of the cleaning products industry.
Jessica Ek – previously senior director, Digital Communications – has been promoted to associate vice president, Strategic Communications, where she will continue to leverage her extensive experience in developing communication strategies to enhance ACI’s outreach and stakeholder engagement efforts, as well as crafting meaningful goals and objectives for ACI at-large.
Brennan Georgianni – previously senior director, State Government Affairs – steps into the role of associate vice president, Government Affairs and Strategy. Brennan’s deep understanding of legislative processes and proactive approach to advocacy will be instrumental in advancing ACI’s policy agenda, especially as it connects to addressing critical association priorities.
Ana Fraisse – previously manager, Sustainability Engagement – has been promoted to director, Sustainability. Fraisse's in-depth knowledge of working on member-focused and public sustainability initiatives related to circular packaging, net zero emissions and sustainable feedstocks is more important than ever, as ACI continues to showcase the sustainability leadership of the cleaning product supply chain.
“Jessica and Brennan have already been key contributors to advising, mapping out and fine-tuning ACI’s strategic initiatives on behalf of our member companies,” Douglas Troutman and Korie Traver, ACI Interim co-CEOs, said in a joint statement. “Ana has helped deepen and further ACI’s successful sustainability initiatives, working alongside Nathan Sell, our senior director of Sustainability. We are proud to have them on our team as ACI moves forward into 2025.”
Ek will continue to lead ACI’s digital communications work and contribute as an ACI spokesperson. Prior to joining ACI in 2018, Ek worked for 10 years at the American Nurses Association, formulating and sustaining the organization’s social media strategies and helping manage the association’s website.
Georgianni, who came on board in 2021, will continue his leadership in state government affairs activities for ACI. He previously worked for the Plastics Industry Association for eight years. Georgianni worked on all facets of government affairs and communications, including federal lobbying and grassroots initiatives, before solely focusing on state-specific policy issues.
Fraisse joined ACI in 2021 from Pyxera Global, where she was engagement manager, Strategic Initiatives. She also worked as a Sustainability Consultant for Mara Hoffman and as an MBA consultant for McDonald’s. In these roles, she specialized in circular packaging, greenhouse gas (GHG) data collection and analysis and corporate sustainability practices.
