Elixrr Industries is a leading Mumbai, India-based manufacturer of pulp-based spunlace nonwovens. The company was established as part of a broader diversification strategy, leveraging decades of expertise and innovation in technical textiles. This strong foundation enabled Elixrr to successfully enter and compete in the nonwovens sector.
Headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Elixrr operates a manufacturing facility in Palej, Bharuch, Gujarat, India. The venture was launched to address the growing demand for high-performance, sustainable fabrics across hygiene, medical and industrial applications. Its vision centers on blending traditional expertise with innovation to deliver eco-friendly solutions that meet global standards. Today, the company operates a state-of-the-art, LEED-certified facility with an annual production capacity exceeding 15,000 tons.
At this facility, Elixrr employs Pentatech Technology, integrating Industry 4.0 principles to enhance precision and efficiency. Its capabilities include drylaid and wetlaid processes; coating, dyeing and printing options; pulp-based spunlace products; standard spunlace blends such as polyester/viscose and 100% viscose; and natural-based products like 100% cotton.
Elixrr’s spunlace products are primarily used in wiping applications, with a focus on high-end wiping solutions. Additionally, the company has developed composite solutions for medical, industrial and packaging uses.
According to Madhav Goel, director, Elixrr Industries, the company is streamlining product lines to improve productivity and efficiency, while gradual additions of new production lines are planned, aligned with mutual agreements with global clients.
Currently, Elixrr is focused on serving existing product bases approved by global customers. Building on these applications, the company is working to expand its reach to new international clients.
Elixrr is also responding to sustainability trends in the nonwovens industry through a combination of environmentally responsible infrastructure, product innovation and a long-term strategic focus on sustainable growth. Its LEED-certified facility reflects a commitment to minimizing environmental impact.
On the product side, the company is developing biodegradable nonwovens specifically designed for applications in the hygiene and medical industries, addressing growing demand for eco-friendly single-use materials. These efforts are supported by its core pillars of sustainability, innovation and partnership.
Looking ahead, Goel is optimistic about the industry’s trajectory. “The nonwovens industry is experiencing rapid growth, driven by demand in hygiene, healthcare and sustainable packaging,” he says. “Elixrr believes this is an opportune time to be in the industry, with global trends in sustainability, hygiene awareness and industrial innovation creating strong growth potential.”
