Description:
An electroluminescent element was issued a patent. It comprises a substrate and, provided on the substrate in the following order, a first thin film as a carrier transport layer, and a second thin film as a luminescent layer. The first thin film is formed of a hydrophilic organic material, which has hydrophilic groups that have been partially or wholly converted to lipophilic groups. The lipophilic groups are partially or wholly returned to hydrophilic groups upon exposure to heat energy or a radiation. The second thin film is formed of a lipophilic organic material.
