Laminating Adhesive, Laminate Including The Same, And Method Of Making A Laminate

May 6, 2008

A method of making a laminate has been granted a patent. The method includes preparing an adhesive composition. This step combines a first part comprising (meth)acrylate functional, polyisocyanate prepolymer and polyisocyanate monomer. The first part comprises at least 10% by weight isocyanate functional groups. A second part comprises polyol, and optionally, a third part, including at least one of the first part. The second part and the optional third part comprise photoinitiator. The second step in the process is to coat a first flexible substrate with the adhesive composition. The third step is to expose the adhesive composition to radiation to partially cure the adhesive composition. The final step is to contact the adhesive composition with a second flexible substrate.
