Tokyo-based personal use cleaning products company Haso USA Inc., will soon start making wipes in Peachtree Corners, GA. The company will add 170 jobs and invest $7 million in a leased 100,000-square-foot manufacturing site. The facility will make baby wipes, flushable wipes, disinfecting wipes, wet and dry mopping wipes and fluff dusting products.
“Gwinnett is proud to be home to more than 110 Japanese businesses,” says Gwinnett county board of commissioners chairman Charlotte Nash, in a statement. “Haso USA’s expansion comes on the heels of our 2013 global trade mission trip to Japan and speaks to the success of our global recruitment efforts.”
Haso has been in business since 2000 and currently operates plants in China, Thailand and Japan. It makes a variety of wipes for both household and personal use and includes multinationals like Procter & Gamble, Kao, SCA and SC Johnson as some of its major customers.
