Hollingsworth & Vose, a global manufacturer of advanced materials for filtration, battery separator, and industrial applications, has gained certification by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for its operations worldwide. The FSC is a non-profit organization with a mission to create sustainable forest management practices.
FSC “chain-of-custody” certification ensures that the pulps used to produce H&V products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
The sustainability principles underpinning FSC certification align closely with H&V’s vision of manufacturing advanced materials for a cleaner world. The certification also supports H&V’s mission to be a good steward of the environment and to demonstrate leadership in the global filtration industry. Rigorous internal controls and record keeping at all locations are required to maintain FSC certification along with undergoing annual audits from the FSC certifying body to ensure compliance.
