Bloomer Plastics, Inc., a producer of custom engineered cast embossed films for the industrial, medical and packaging markets, completed a multi-million dollar capacity expansion program designed to address demand for its polyolefin-based products.
Based in north central Wisconsin, the company also produces plastic that is used in diaper manufacturing.
“Given the robust demand for our custom engineered film solutions, we are accelerating our capital spending plan,” says Kevin Keneally, president and CEO of Bloomer Holdings, Inc. “The two major programs just completed, represent historical levels of capital investment in our business and will improve our level of customer satisfaction.”
Projects finalized in April include a plant-wide debottlenecking initiative in addition to a plant expansion and installation of a new state of the art cast film extrusion line. The new coextrusion line is capable of producing the latest evolution of the company’s products and is its first new line in ten years. Combined output improvement between the two projects will exceed an incremental 25% on an annualized unit volume basis.
