Norafin Industries has gained a new German investor that will help it expand its production capabilities. The maker of high performance and specialty nonwovens is adding a spunlace line in a new building at its headquarters in Mildenau, Germany. The new capacity will reportedly allow Norafin to expand its existing range of specialty nonwovens and introduce new product variations onto the market.
“The demand for innovative technical nonwovens, which combine different requirements such as high fire retardancy, breathability, textile-like characteristics and sustainable material design in one product, is increasing,” says André Lang, managing director of Norafin. “Thanks to our growing national and international network, which includes fiber partners, research institutes as well as AT specialists, we are able to react quickly and flexibly to our clients’ wishes.”
The new spunlace line should be operational by summer 2013.
