Ihsan exports to all major regions of the world including North and South America, Canada, Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Africa, the Far East, Australia and New Zealand.
The company began spunlace production in 2006 and operates spunlace machinery from Trutzschler, Spinbau, Fleissner and Bastian. With an annual overall capacity of 12,000 tons, Ihsan describes itself as the second largest producer and exporter of bleached absorbent cotton in the world.
Ihsan’s Belcot 100% cotton spunlace is a revolutionary fabric made frompure cotton, which is safe, absorbentand environmental friendly. It combines the superior characteristics of natural cottonusing the latest spunlace nonwovens technology. The fabric has many advantages oversynthetic nonwoven fabrics; in addition to being 100% biodegradable, it is dust- and lint-free, soft and bulky, air permeable and has excellent absorbency and high wet strength. Belcot can be used in making gauzes, dry/wet tissues, wipes, sanitary napkins, panty liners, diapers, swabs and cosmetic pads.
Ihsan can produce about 3000 tons per year ofBelcot spunlace, both inplain and perforated constructions, in rolls from pure bleached cotton fibers in a 30-70 gpsm range and 5-200 cm fabric widths, which meet all international healthstandards setby WSP, EDANA, BPC and ISO. The company is a recipient of the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) Certificate by IMO, which confirms the use of organic cotton in its products as well as the presence of systems and procedures necessary to produce and deliver quality organic products.
Ihsan has alsoreceived the “Seal of Cotton” trademark license from Cotton Inc. certifying the use of 100% cotton in its products. The company is the only non-U.S. company to receive this license. Additionally, Ihsan has received the “Cotton USA Mark” license from Cotton County International (CCI).
In terms of future investments, Ihsan plans to commercialize another spunlace line in the next three to five years and has already allotted space for this addition in its current facility. “We are seeking gradual and continuous growth through our market and product development strategies,” stated Moeen Naseer, marketing manager. “We are making sure to reach customers all over the world including neglected markets. This is in addition to working with key customers in our traditional U.S. and European markets. We want to cater to the needs and requirements of nonwoven converters who are opting for cotton, organic cotton or fair-trade cotton spunlace and want to be the number one supplier of all their spunlace needs.”
