Spooling Line

December 19, 2006

Calemard’s latest spooling line, Gemini II, is designed for narrow and fragile products. It uses a numerical traverse winder, driven by a new generation of PLC allowing an individual control of each spooling unit. High flexibility in handled products and building-up of the bobbin is reached thanks to this electrical and electronic architecture combined with new traverse winding technology. In fact, Gemini IIO allows converting a range of products—including adhesives, foams, films  and nonwovens in various thicknesses and widths—on the same machine.
