New Management Teams In Place At Buckeye, Georgia-Pacific

Buckeye Technologies Inc. has established a new organization effective this month with a mission of bringing new products to the market on an accelerated schedule. Jeffery Cook, who has been appointed senior vice president, marketing, will lead the new organization. In addition to Mr. Cook, Susan Crenshaw, who is now vice president, market development, and Henry Hall, who has been named vice president, commercial development, will play key roles in the new organization.

In other news, Buckeye has announced changes in responsibilities of several senior officers. Paul Horne, currently senior vice president, cotton cellulose, will be appointed senior vice president, product and market development, succeeding Mr. Cook. Douglas Dowdell, senior vice president, nonwovens, will be appointed to the newly created role of senior vice president, specialty fibers. Mr. Dowdell will lead the commercial operations for both Buckeye’s cotton and wood specialty fibers, assuming the responsibilities previously held by Mr. Horne and Christian Chavassieu, senior vice president, wood cellulose. Mr. Chav­assieu will resign from the company at the end of February to pursue other business interests. Marko Rajamaa, vice president, nonwovens sales—Europe and Middle East, will be appointed vice president, nonwovens, succeeding Mr. Dowdell.
