Staple Fiber

October 3, 2005

Rhodia Polyamide has introduced new Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) staple fibers based on Ticona's Fortron PPS polymer. Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) is a high-temperature resin that offers an excellent combination of thermal, mechanical and chemical resistance. Fortron PPS is a high-temperature linear PPS that offers excellent dimensional stability, inherent flame resistance, and chemical and solvent resistance. In bringing together the best of both worlds, Rhodia Polyamide has created a product with high temperature stability, broad chemical resistance, stiffness, strength and creep resistance at elevated temperatures.
