High-Density Fluff

August 17, 2005

Bicma Hygiene Technologie has introduced new technology for the production of high density cores from a three-layered ultrathin fluff. Two of these layers, the top and the bottom, are composed of pure defiberized fluff. The core layer of fluff, however, comprises compressed SAP quantities into the desired density in a multiple calendering unit. Bicma Hygiene Technologie reports that this innovation can save hygiene manufacturers anywhere from E450,000-1 million per year.
