Electrostatic Conductor

August 17, 2005

The latest innovation from Gebr. Kefferath AG is Conducto, a new forming belt that contains electrostatic charges during the production of nonwovens. According to the ATEX Norm Class 3, Conducto's bronze wires drastically reduce the amount of voltage that is emitted from the belt's wires when interwoven with the synthetic fibers. Three different types of the belt are available: single-layered mesh in twill weave for carding processes, double-layered for high-quality forming of nonwovens or single-layered in plain weave for drylaid processes.
