Polypropylene Absorbent Fiber

February 1, 2005

FiberVisions has launched a new functional fiber under the FiberVisions HY-Entangle WA name. The new fiber marks a considerable expansion of the application area of polypropylene fibers within the spunlace area because the new fiber will be able to change this basic perception and even improve spunlace and wipes products. The fiber holds the basic properties of polypropylene (low density, ability to bond and be embossed and resistance toward acids and alkalis), but it adds a further dimension. Similar to viscose/rayon, this fiber has the ability to retain liquids. The fiber combines production economy advantages with functionality, which is expected have a positive impact on all manufacturers in the value chain. Parameters such as fiber length, cohesion and softness can be adjusted individually according to customer demand. Telephone: 45-7994-2200; Web: www.fibervisions.biz
