A manufacturer of air through bonded nonwovens primarily for feminine hygiene and baby care applications, Beijing Dayuan Nonwovens reported sales of $109 million in 2022. Due to fierce market competition and a decrease in raw material prices, the company’s sales in 2022 decreased by 7.49% compared to 2021.
Dayuan Nonwovens currently operates four plants in Beijing, Tianjin, Suzhou and Yangzhou, China. This year, the company will continue to expand its factories in Yangzhou and Tianjin, laying a solid foundation for the future development of the company towards the direction of the big healthcare industry.
These efforts will help the company defend itself against competition in the nonwovens market, which has become extremely fierce. “Only by improving production efficiency, reducing material consumption, continuously innovating and implementing sustainable development strategies can we stand firm in the market,” Jessy Zhang, vice president of sales says.
Dayuan connects its four manufacturing bases together through digitization and internet technology. Dayuan has created its own production planning and logistics system to make the whole process of product lifecycle manageable, controllable and visible. This makes the workflow simpler, greatly improves data processing and analysis capabilities, and reduces unnecessary resource waste during the process. In terms of product innovation, the company closely follows the pace of technological improvement in the textile industry and applies new technologies in the field of woven goods to the field of air through nonwoven. Dayuan has jointly developed multiple materials with upstream and downstream enterprises such as fibers and lubricants. At the same time, the company has carried out sustainable product research and development strategies and production manufacturing plans at different levels based on customer needs in different regions around the world, mainly including: 1) using less energy and water, 2) reducing the quantity of materials, 3) increasing the use of natural materials, 3) reducing packaging materials, reducing landfill, and 4) reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
