Patented is a disposable pull-on wearing article with a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis. The article comprises a front waist region, a rear waist region, a crotch region, an outer cover and a body fluid absorbent panel bonded at a transversely middle zone. At longitudinally opposite ends to the outer cover and extending over the crotch region further into the front and rear waist regions, the body fluid absorbent panel has a longitudinal direction extending toward the front and rear waist regions and a transverse direction crossing the longitudinal direction. The body fluid absorbent panel comprises a body fluid absorbent core with an inner surface facing a wearer’s skin and an outer surface facing away from the wearer’s skin.
A liquid-pervious sheet covers at least the inner surface of the inner surface and faces the wearer’s skin. The core traverses the crotch region and extends into the front waist region and into the rear waist region. It comprises a central portion extending longitudinally from the front waist region through the crotch region into the rear waist region. The core also comprises two lateral portions, each lying on opposite lateral sides of the central portion. The lateral portions each have a front end region, a rear end region and an intermediate region between front and rear end regions as viewed in the longitudinal direction. The front and rear end regions are spaced apart from the central portion by front and rear pairs of slit-like gaps formed in the core between the central portion and the lateral portions and extend in an arc from lateral edges of the core toward the longitudinal axis and toward the transverse axis. The intermediate region of each lateral portion is contiguous to and continuous with the central portion. An outer side edge of the intermediate region of each lateral portion defines a plurality of V shaped cutouts whose vertices point toward the longitudinal axis and whose sides diverge from one another as they extend away from the longitudinal axis. The body fluid absorbent panel is located in a vicinity of the outer side edges with elastic members extending in a stretched state in the longitudinal direction.
