Description:
Patented is an adhesive tape comprising a backing and a layer of adhesive on the backing. The backing has an energy to sever of up to 350 N-cm/cm2 when severed according to The Dispense Test—Metal Blade and has an approximate tensile elongation to break from above 55% to 170%. The backing comprises a biaxially oriented substrate that comprises an isotactic polypropylene composition with a melt flow rate of at least 12 grams/10 minutes. The biaxially oriented substrate has a melt flow rate of at least 12 grams/10 minutes.
