Patented is an absorbent garment, comprising a waste containment section with front and rear portions and a central region. First and second side panels are joined to the front and rear portions of the waste containment section and defines a waist opening and first and second leg openings. Seamless leak guards form part of the waste containment section and partially surround both leg openings. The waste containment section includes an absorbent layer with outer edges in the central region, a liquid-impermeable outer cover that is wider than the absorbent layer and has outer edges adjacent to the leg openings. The waste containment section has elastic bands laterally outward from the absorbent layer that are closer to the outer edges of the absorbent layer than to the outer edges of the outer cover. The seamless leak guards are formed from the outer covers’ portion and extend beyond the absorbent layer.
