Water-decomposable Absorbent Article And Method For Producing It

Patented is a water-decomposable absorbent article. The article comprises an absorbent body that includes a water-decomposable topsheet and a water-decomposable backsheet surrounding a water-decomposable adsorbent core. The article also features an adhesive layer on the backsheet to fit the article to an external support and a water-decomposable release sheet for protecting the adhesive layer before it is used to cover the adhesive layer. The release sheet includes a release layer that faces the adhesive layer and a water-decomposable fibrous layer surrounding a water-soluble polymer layer. A basis weight of the release layer is 0.05gpsm and smaller than 0.3gpsm, and the equilibrium contact angle between a surface of the release layer and a water drop is 100°.
