Patented is a disposable diaper with an absorbent body, surrounded by a liquid-pervious topsheet and a liquid-impervious backsheet. The liquid-impervious backsheet and a first liquid resistance barrier wall annularly extend above of the topsheet’s top surface. The absorbent body contains transversely opposite side edge portions and longitudinally opposed end portions. A liquid-resistant barrier wall is joined along a lower peripheral edge to the remainder of the absorbent body to define a first opening in a central zone of the first liquid-resistant barrier wall. An upper peripheral edge of the first liquid-resistant barrier wall is elastically stretchable along the first opening. A liquid-resistant barrier wall lies in a front half section of the absorbent body and extends from the vicinity of a centerline that bisects a longitudinal dimension of the absorbent body one of the end portions or a rear half section of the absorbent body. The disposable diaper also comprises a second liquid-resistant barrier wall that annularly extends around the first liquid-resistant barrier wall and lies in the front and rear half sections of the absorbent body. A second liquid-resistant barrier wall features a lower peripheral edge portion that is joined to a peripheral edge of the absorbent body to define a second opening substantially in a central zone of the second liquid-resistant barrier wall and an upper peripheral edge portion with elastic stretchability is featured along the second opening.
