Tampon Applicator Having Outwardly Flared Rim

An applicator device for inserting an object into a body cavity has been patented. The device comprises a tubular member with an inner surface and a rim at one end. The rim features a shoulder projecting radially outward from the tubular member and a return margin directed inwardly from the shoulder, toward the inner surface and the distal tubular member. The inner surface of the shoulder extends from the inner surface of the tubular insert- ion member.
