A method of making a breathable absorbent article has been patented. The article comprises an absorbent core and a backsheet containing a hydrophobic nonwoven material, which involves positioning an adhesive to the backsheet at a temperature of about 160-175ºC and at a viscosity in the range of about 1000-1500 cps by slot coating.
